After a year off due to Covid-19, Rockin' with Rotary downtown concert series returns beginning June 11.

Each year the club teams up with the folks at the Adult Recreation Center to provide a Thanksgiving meal to seniors. The event includes a band and dancing. We are always looking for volunteers for the event.

2021 Concert series announced

Rockin' with Rotary, presented by Gastonia East Rotary Club and the City of Gastonia returns this summer with four concerts to light up the night and make you feel like dancing. Concerts will be at the Rotary Pavillion downtown Gastonia. The dates and bands for this year are:

Meetings at the Conference Center

As of the March 1 meeting, attendees no longer need to pre-register online in order to meet in person. We stil need to give each other plenty of space and mask up, but number restrictions have been eased. You can also still participate in the meeting remotely via Zoom. Gastonia's Polio Legacy

At our Nov. 17th, 2014, meeting, Gastonia East heard first-hand stories of polio in our area in the 1950s and the role of the North Carolina Orthopedic Hospital in Gastonia in treatment of the disease's victims. Watch the video below or click here for a larger view.
