GASTONIA, NC – MARCH 6, 2023 The Gastonia East Rotary Club will host four Summer Concert events at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion in May, June, August, and September as part of their Summer Concert Series.
The 2023 Summer Concert Series will showcase artists and local bands of various genres across several decades. In addition to live music, the events will feature food trucks, adult and non-alcoholic beverage options, and a play area for kids provided by the Gastonia Honey Hunters.

“We want to make sure there’s something for everyone here,” says concerts chairman Drew Horine. “Providing these four nights of free, diverse entertainment for people of all ages is an opportunity to bring all Gastonians together. It’s a chance to show everyone what a great community we live in.”
The concerts also serve to raise money for local charities. To date, proceeds from beverage sales and sponsorships have raised over $192,000 for local charities in Gaston County. Beneficiaries include United Way of Gaston County, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Gaston, and the Dream Center Academy. Grants are distributed each year at Gastonia East Rotary’s annual Day of Giving.
The first concert of 2023 is Friday, May 19th. On the Border: The Ultimate Eagles Tribute will perform along with local favorite, Garrett Huffman, as the opening act. The concerts will begin at 6:00 PM and are expected to end by 10:00 PM.
The Voltage Brothers, with guest Emerald Empire, will headline on June 23, bringing an electric night of soul music to the Rotary Centennial Pavilion. Local artist Caleb Davis with guest, Tangerine Trees will have fans dancing through the decades on Friday, Aug. 11. Headliner Kids in America with guest, Akita will end the Summer Concert Series on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, with an 80’s throwback night.
