Free downtown Gastonia concerts are returning in the summer of 2022. Gastonia East Rotary (GER) and the City of Gastonia will present six concerts on select Fridays from May through July. Fan favorites On the Border, Jim Quick & Coastline, and Band of Oz are all scheduled to appear.
Concerts will take place at the Rotary Pavilion in Downtown Gastonia on Fridays at 7 pm. DJ Johnny B from 91.7 FM will emcee the events beginning at 6:00. Admission is free, so bring a lawn chair and enjoy the night.

- July 22 – Island Time Band (Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band)
- JUST ANNOUNCED! October 15 – Eliminator (ZZ Top Tribute Band)
A seventh Downtown Gastonia concert event is scheduled for October 15th. This event will feature multiple bands as well as other activities. Watch GastoniaEastRotary.org for more information as it becomes available.
Food & Drink
Proceeds from beer and wine sales will go to GER’s community grant fund to support local charities.
Food trucks will be on-hand for dinner and snacks. Downtown Gastonia restaurants and retail businesses are also encouraged to stay open during the concerts.
No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted within the concert perimeter. Gastonia Police will be on-hand to help with crowd control and enforcement.
